BIC makes all sorts of colored highlighters, including purple. You can buy any of their colors in packs of 12, except for purple. The only way you can get purple, is if you buy the assorment box of 12, in which there is only 1 purple one. I'd like to be able to buy a box of just purple, it seems to be the color that everyone in my office wants.

Please do not ship the boxes of pens in bags. By the time I receive the pens, they are all out of the boxes and I get a bag full of pens and empty smashed boxes.  I then have to gather up all the pens and put them back in their boxes so I can stack them in the supply cabinet. Please send the boxes of pens in a box.  Thank you!

Quill should have a clearance center, like some other companies do. Returns, damaged and out of box items. Small businesses could really use items at a big discount and be able to work with not perfect quality for something.

I opened up a box of copy paper today and every single package of paper was torn open in some area or each package.  Can the manufacturer be notified to use heavier paper to cover the ream, or even use plastic, like the Viking paper?  The box was not damaged at all, so the paper they are using to cover each ream just needs to be of a heavier quality.
    Thank you!

When Quill has their own product and they make a change to it they should make the buyer aware.  Say for instance the Quill full page labels.  Maybe a customer has purchased these for a long period of time and then the quality was change.  They were made thinner and the end user was not made aware.  I think if a long time user of a product is made aware of a change that give them the opportunity to research orther venues or see that the change will not affect them.

I think that if you send a customer an item to try that you should have the product immediatly available on your website to purchase and maybe even at a first time purchase discount.  I was given a sampler box and there was an Ink Joy 2-in-1 pen in the color purple.  It is fantastic!  When I went on the website and looked for it I couldn't find it.  Why would you give someone something to try and then not have it for purchase?

About the only thing I have to order from other places are my Pricing Labels for my Monarch 1131.  I use the one line labels with a part number of 925074.  Also, the 1 1/4" x 4" single pegboard hooks.  We use a ton of these and would be great if I could use Quill for those items.  Otherwise, I love using Quill for all my office supply needs.

I would like a better description and pictures of some of the products, some times the one view is not enough.

It would be nice if every time items like pens and pencils and paper clips and binder clips that come in delicate boxes were always shipped in plastic bags. The boxes break and the pens etc. are spilled in the cartons. I have received these types of items in plastic bags but not always. It would be nice if this practice was done every time.

When searching for an item - it would be helpful to have "like items" appear at the bottom.  Most times I'm not sure what to call a specific product, and it would be helpful for this feature to show me what similar products are available as well.

The item description is something that needs to be worked on. I'm trying to order envelopes and can't make out the look or the flap because the envelope is white and so is the background.  Same thing when trying to order a desk ref paper holder. If the item is in white it is almost impossible to make out any details in the picture.
The item description is also difficult when you you are looking for items and you put it into the search and only some of the items pop up.  I shouldn't have to call customer service everytime I have to order something that might have a different name.   I was looking for personalized stampers.  For a year I had to order from another company because I didn't know they were in your system as a specific name. When you type in stamps or stamper or personalized, you would think all stampers would pull up.   Same with desk ref organizers.  If I didn't have the specific name of Aidata, I wouldn't have found the ones I needed.

May not be original, but to market Office Supplies with the choice of Primary Colors of the Rainbow, rather than the Standard Black.  All I ever see are office supplies in black.  To Market and Give the Consumer a Choice of all Colors including Primary Colors of the Rainbow, Pastels and White.  To Personalize one's workspace.  I saw a "Red" stapler at my employer and thought why do I not see more office supplies in color than just black.  It creates a more inviting work space and positive energy & pleasant atmosphere.
Thank You for your Time & Consideration.
    Sincerely,
    Colleen Carlson

I am with a management company that gets discounts for certain purchases. It would be great if all of those items where centrally located per my account. While I know we can easily search for most things on the site, how great would it be to instanly see the things that are already discounted for us.

I would love to see more cute and decorative office items. Anything to make the work day more bright and colorful. Not just the same old boring paper clips, files, etc. It would just be fun to see things that are more colorful and not plain old manilla or silver

I would like to see more selection of products.  Sometimes, I want something like hanging folders and only have a couple brands to choose from.  I'd like to see more options such as colors or brands.  I'd also like to see more options for personalized products.

Read our Privacy Policy to learn how your Quill Ideas account information is handled.

How are ideas selected for execution?

Online votes and comments are used to help get ideas developed. Ideas that receive the most votes have a higher chance of being considered. Also, an idea may be selected because it appears to have a potential for success.

How do voting and comments work?

As a registered user, you can vote on every idea once.  A voting icon is shown next to the idea. Just click to vote on your favorites. It’s that simple.  Each vote is worth 10 points.  A vote up will add ten points and a vote down will take away 10 points.  The idea’s score can be found beneath the voting icons. The higher the points the more popular the idea is.

Read and make comments on a specific idea by clicking on an idea title.  Comment on ideas as many times as you like. There is no limit.  Comments do not earn an idea points.

Our site moderators will leave comments as well.  These users are identified with a User-added image icon.

Does every idea get a response?

Due to the amount of posts, we won’t be able to respond to every posting. If your idea is moved to the formal review step, you can expect to receive e-mail updates from us.  We will keep you informed if your idea is recommended for implementation and notify you of any status changes.

Do I get recognized if my idea is selected?

If your idea is implemented, we may give you credit on the site, but there is no monetary compensation. Take a look at our Terms and Conditions to learn more.

Is there a moderator on Quill Ideas?

Your ideas and comments are not reviewed before they are posted.  Any postings that violate the Terms of Use will be removed. When appropriate, we will respond to comments in a timely manner.
