I know that Quill has thousands of products, but what do you do when you only have a limited quantity left?
    You put them on sale!
Just like stores in our community you have Dollar Days. Selected products for $1, $2, $3, $4, etc.
send the announcement to all ou your customers and you might be surprised how quickly the products are snatched up. In our community we have Dollar Tree stores. Everything in the store is only $1. Where do you think i get my batteries, groceries, condiments, wrapping paper, gift bags for holidays and for our local food bank.
Just give it a try, it may prove a wonderful addition to you sales strategy. This doesn't have to be done all of the time, choose certain months or holidays. Like Easter, Back to School, Christmas.
This would be a quick place to pick up those little extra things you need to complete Easter baskets, stocking stuffers, birthday prizes, etc.
    Give it a thought!!!

When I ordered a shredder, I got $40 in "instant" Quill cash. Well, unless things have changed "instant" always meant NOW not when you place a $175 order. This is very disappointing. Either remove the word "instant" or let us use it as such.
Now for the sample center. I like to order from the sample center so I could try a new product before I ordered in quantity. Here is an example of what I mean. When the sample center was available (and had more than a set of ear plugs!) I got a Flexion clicker pen. Glad I did not order a dozen of them b/c the very first time I used the pen I received as a sample, it quit working. There is still plenty of ink, but will not write. I tried warming the tip of the pen b/c this works sometimes, but still will not work.

On the quill labels that I have purchased, it would be helpful if they reference an Avery label number/template number on the box itself so that when I use them, in office, I could just reference this number to have the correct template.

I'd like to see colorful office supplies; staplers, tape dispensers, organizing racks, pen holders, desk blotters, etc., displayed in various combinations.  I am a small business owner, and need some pazzazz in my space!  It would be really helpful to me to see new ideas on coordinating colors even including 3-ring binders, corkboards, etc.

It would be nice if an item requires you to purchase a certain amount that you show it as a package. Not list that you have to order in multiples of 2, 4, 10 etc.
For example staples, I used to be able to purchase 1 box, now you require at least 2, just set up the website as a package instead. This would reduce the confusion when trying to order.

Another example is paper. some of your paper only allows you to order by the carton, but you have to enter how many reams instead. So if you only want a ream, you cannot order that paper. If you only sell by ream, the website should show by ream/pack or it you are required to order a carton, put the quantity to be order as a carton instead. example 901-720223. Website should show carton not by the ream. It makes it harder to order and confusing when you are trying to find the best price by the ream.

I would like to have the availability of sampling, even if there is a small cost to do so.  I like to really try something out before I purchase a larger amount.

Everyone on our staff LOVED the little case of post-it notes and post-it flags that was a bonus gift in June/July 2014. We would have bought more, and bought more of the post-it notes and flags to refill it, but we didn't see it listed as an item for sale. One coworker said she liked it so much she would have paid for it with her own money. Please offer this item for sale on your site!

I UNDERSTAND THAT QUILL HAS EXPANDED THE LINES OF PRODUCTS THEY SELL. HOWEVER, YOU ARE ADVERTISED AS AN OFFICE SUPPLY OUTLET. HOWEVER, MOST OF YOUR COUPONS CATER TO JANITORIAL AND CLEANING SUPPLIES. I WOULD LIKE MORE COUPONS ON GENERAL OFFICE SUPPLIES. EITHER THAT OR MORE SALES ON GENERAL OFFICE SUPPLIES.

I wish that when you made a "Special Deal" on paper, file folders, hanging files, ruled pads etc. that you would offer both letter and legal sizes with these deals. I would love to purchase some of your deals but they are usually only for letter size items and we use more legal size items. I have very seldom seen a "Special Deal" on legal size items.

sometimes coupons are only available for a day or two. every time i place an order...coupons come that i could've used within 30mins of placing my order. this happens every single time. why not have coupons come out every week good from tues-mon or something like that? i know every wednesday that i will get the fliers in the mail for coupons for grocery stores every week. i know that the tom thumb/kroger reward cards give new coupons every wednesday and i have to apply the ones i want to my card. please do something like this. it can help big companies but it can help smaller companies like mine more effectively order and save money. thank you

You offer the 1.3mm mechanical pencils but not the lead refills.   Doesn't make any sense to me to buy the pencils and have to throw them away when the are empty.

I often need Thank You cards or blank note cards doing business to send out thank yours to staff and colleagues. It would be great if you had a category for these types of cards. Maybe even a card assortment including thank you, birthday, anniversary, congratulations, etc.

The item description is something that needs to be worked on. I'm trying to order envelopes and can't make out the look or the flap because the envelope is white and so is the background.  Same thing when trying to order a desk ref paper holder. If the item is in white it is almost impossible to make out any details in the picture.
The item description is also difficult when you you are looking for items and you put it into the search and only some of the items pop up.  I shouldn't have to call customer service everytime I have to order something that might have a different name.   I was looking for personalized stampers.  For a year I had to order from another company because I didn't know they were in your system as a specific name. When you type in stamps or stamper or personalized, you would think all stampers would pull up.   Same with desk ref organizers.  If I didn't have the specific name of Aidata, I wouldn't have found the ones I needed.

To be able to purchase storage box lids by the case.  We purchase storage boxes but over time the lids become torn from use.  I would like to be able to purchase replacement lids.

Read our Privacy Policy to learn how your Quill Ideas account information is handled.

How are ideas selected for execution?

Online votes and comments are used to help get ideas developed. Ideas that receive the most votes have a higher chance of being considered. Also, an idea may be selected because it appears to have a potential for success.

How do voting and comments work?

As a registered user, you can vote on every idea once.  A voting icon is shown next to the idea. Just click to vote on your favorites. It’s that simple.  Each vote is worth 10 points.  A vote up will add ten points and a vote down will take away 10 points.  The idea’s score can be found beneath the voting icons. The higher the points the more popular the idea is.

Read and make comments on a specific idea by clicking on an idea title.  Comment on ideas as many times as you like. There is no limit.  Comments do not earn an idea points.

Our site moderators will leave comments as well.  These users are identified with a User-added image icon.

Does every idea get a response?

Due to the amount of posts, we won’t be able to respond to every posting. If your idea is moved to the formal review step, you can expect to receive e-mail updates from us.  We will keep you informed if your idea is recommended for implementation and notify you of any status changes.

Do I get recognized if my idea is selected?

If your idea is implemented, we may give you credit on the site, but there is no monetary compensation. Take a look at our Terms and Conditions to learn more.

Is there a moderator on Quill Ideas?

Your ideas and comments are not reviewed before they are posted.  Any postings that violate the Terms of Use will be removed. When appropriate, we will respond to comments in a timely manner.
