We are a small office and sometimes have difficulty ordering enough product to qualify for the free gifts... maybe try offering say a mechanical pencil or gel pen for $50 orders, that way we could try a new product and still feel like we are able to take advantage of incentive program.

It would be nice if Quill offered some customer appreciation freebies for placing an order. For example, a smaller box of free cookies like we received with our very first order just to demonstrate your appreciation for our continued business. Not a regular requirement but just every once in awhile. We receive emails about how much we have spent/saved thus far. Include a "token of our appreciation" freebie along with that email thread (free QuillCash, special offer coupons, etc.).

I remember back in the day Quill used to offer a point or dollar system to get free gifts!  That is especially helpful for people who place a lot of little orders and don't qualify for the gifts at the higher order total levels!  By accumulating points / dollar amounts you can add them up to something nice!  :)

It would be great if you would price Match places like Staples and WB Mason by being able to attach there add or something on the spot

It's hard to keep up with coupons when you buy a lot of supplies and are getting a lot of different emails about coupons on this and that and freebies if you buy this or spend this much.
What about doing a point system, for every dollar you spend your points add up and you have a list of items and how many points it cost to get these free items.

After placing your order with Quill, Quill will search similar sites that sells the exact same items and if any prices are found to be lower the difference will be added to the cutomers Quill account to be used on future orders. This would also be great for Quill to see where they need to lower prices on items that can be found elsewhere cheaper.

Send an email at the beginning of the month with ALL coupons and then only send emails for flash sales.  We are getting way too many emails and it is a pain when I am trying to order and have to look through 10 different emails to find the coupon I need.

Would be fun to get a suggested product with your order.  Might be a small trial size of furniture clearner when you order furniture, post it tabs when you order paper, or a new pen on the market.  Something that would go with what your ordered to try and generate return customers.

I have a big order and was going to order the next day because I held on to the order to get a particular gift.  The next business day, gift gone.  No longer offered.  So my order will sit untill a decent gift is available or I will take my business elsewhere.  Also, I have the cookie sheet as you once broke down the bakeware set and now it is under the$799.00 amount.  Why not break these down so a person has a chance to get another piece of this set?  Our department does not order hugh amounts at a time.  Also, you once had the Silverstone Blue 2 piece fry pan set.  What happened to that?  Here today, gone tomorrow.

Sale prices advertised often come with a minimum purchase requirement - as a small non-profit we often cannot meet those minimums and I find myself having to hunt for the true price.

When purchasing an item, list cheaper items that are identical (like the Quill brand) so we are aware of more reasonably priced items.  Then have us click on the item we choose and it goes into the cart.

Love quill, however our office gets over load of advertisments along with the same emails, think there should be an option to either receive mailers or emails. Which we delete & throw away, would save lots by not sending out so much mailers and having it all web based with coupons lasting longer as mentioned

Do not let the cash expire.  I thought the Quill Cash idea would be a good replacement for the valuable coupons you used to offer.  Now it seems the coupons are primarily for cleaning products or furniture.  We have little need for either.  The Quill Cash accumulates and expires before I think to use it.  We are very happy with the products and service but feel that the loss of the coupons and the expiration of the Quill Cash has resulted in increased costs for us.

I love Quill coupons and bonus incentives.  What I don't love is constantly having to click through the email to determine what the Order Minimum actually is in order to receive that coupon or free gift.  Please help us save time in our days by just indicating the order minimum on the coupons you preview in the emails you send us.  It would help Small Businesses and Customers save BOTH time and money.

When are the biggest sales of the year for the products I purchase?  Design an email just to tell us that!  I would certainly stock up then!

Do you have a catalog with al your products? Your website is not the best for searching products. You might search for mailing tubes, and it might take you an entire 30 min to find he right size. The “filter” tool sometimes is worthless. That’s why I catalog would be perfect. You can see the one product and al the possible sizes and the prices for each item. One picture and a chart with all the sizes availble and their respective price would be wonderful!

I have referred people to Quill and I would it do it more often if you offered incentives.  Many companies out there have Refer A Friend programs.  Is this something you can start offering?  If so, what would you give?  Quill Cash, gift cards, cash, etc, would be great motivators to me and likely other business owners.  Please let me know. Thanks!

Alot of the "free" gifts are not free. Most of the time to get the free gifts in the bundle orders we would have to pay much more for the product than we normally would. We are a large corporate account with special pricing but because of that it seems we have to miss out on ALOT of the promotions.

How are ideas selected for execution?

Online votes and comments are used to help get ideas developed. Ideas that receive the most votes have a higher chance of being considered. Also, an idea may be selected because it appears to have a potential for success.

How do voting and comments work?

As a registered user, you can vote on every idea once.  A voting icon is shown next to the idea. Just click to vote on your favorites. It’s that simple.  Each vote is worth 10 points.  A vote up will add ten points and a vote down will take away 10 points.  The idea’s score can be found beneath the voting icons. The higher the points the more popular the idea is.

Read and make comments on a specific idea by clicking on an idea title.  Comment on ideas as many times as you like. There is no limit.  Comments do not earn an idea points.

Our site moderators will leave comments as well.  These users are identified with a User-added image icon.

Does every idea get a response?

Due to the amount of posts, we won’t be able to respond to every posting. If your idea is moved to the formal review step, you can expect to receive e-mail updates from us.  We will keep you informed if your idea is recommended for implementation and notify you of any status changes.

Do I get recognized if my idea is selected?

If your idea is implemented, we may give you credit on the site, but there is no monetary compensation. Take a look at our Terms and Conditions to learn more.

Is there a moderator on Quill Ideas?

Your ideas and comments are not reviewed before they are posted.  Any postings that violate the Terms of Use will be removed. When appropriate, we will respond to comments in a timely manner.
