Please extend the time limit for returning toner cartriges.  Sometimes it takes more than 6 mo to use one and I always like to have a backup in house for when a toner runs out. Also I usually wait to have a few before I send them in. Last time I sent in a whole box of toner and ink cartridges, supposedly only one was eligible, sometimes I dont receive anything at all.

I was dissappointed to find out that you did not have a better program for used cartridges. I started by sending them with the printable shipping lable and they were returned from UPS. I continued to send themand i noticed that I did not receive any information until I logged on to the website to check on status of the recycled cartridges.  I was discouraged so i stopped recycling. How about a better proram?

It would be great if you did ink recycling like Staples does for Premier Members.  Premier members are allowed to recycle 20 per month.  When I go through and recycle, I have more than 10 at a time.

I was diappointed that Quill stopped providing recyle boxes for ink cartridges. Recyling is important and if not convenient alot of people won't or don't have time to do it.

This post is in reference to the new and improved Quill Ink and Toner Policy. At times our company will stock additional toner/ink for machines just so we don’t have to think about toner inventory. Now since we will be “penalized” for having stock that is over “3 months old” (by not receiving a $2 credit for the toner core) I will be less apt to do that.

The policy of what you buy in this quarter and having to have used it up by the end of the next quarter doesn't seem well thought out to me. Foe example a Brother TN-750 is supposed to give a yield of 8,000 pages. I have 6 printers that use this part number from Brother. Does every printer do 8,000 pages in three months? No. So the question is, now instead of me stocking 2-3 at all times, will I be stocking only 1? The answer is most likely yes. Does this hurt Quill sales? You guys will have to be the judge of that.

I realize that toner recycling is a great thing for the planet and we will continue to do it, but the $2 Quill gives is definitely incentive to box it up, tape it shut and get the box to UPS.

P.S. We buy all of our toner from Quill

Thanks for your time and hopefully Quill rescinds this policy and reverts back to the way it was - where all toner cores qualify for the $2 cash back.

I think that the ink and toner program should allow your company to be reimbursed for as many cartridges you send back without a quarterly limit. Sometimes the toner lasts longer than the 3 month time frame. My company sent back 50 cartridges but only recieved credit for what was purchased in that quarter. I feel that as long as the company does not get credit for more that it has purchased, there should not be a limit to return credits per quarter.

YOU SHOULD RECONSIDER THE LIMIT OF TONERS/INK TO RECYCLE PER MONTH. I HAVE OVER 5 STORES AND WE USE ALOT OF INK AND HAVING TO SEND OUR RECYCLE TONERS/INK TO SEPERATE PLACES TO GET OUR "CREDIT" IS NOT FUN. IF WE COULD DO ALL OF THIS AT ONE PLACE IT WOULD BE MORE BUSINESS FOR QUILL.

I was looking for Ink during my recent visit to Quill and saw the discount on Quill Brand but I had a very had time finding out if the Ink I needed had a Quill equivilent from the Quill Brand page (http://www.quill.com/lists/nonbrowseskussetgrid.aspx?SkusetId=817938). I did eventually find that the Ink & Toner Finder and realized that the ink I was looking for was not available in Quill Brand but a search feature on the Quill Brand page would have been helpful and time saving since I went there first due to the banner ad.

It was a great idea, and we loved getting the Quill Cash and picking out k-cups.  Now I just shop for the lowest price, which is not always Quill.

There is an need to provide information on the supplies that support a piece of equipment, such as a printer.  I recently purchased a Dell S2925cdn laser printer, but your site did not give any information about what toner cartridges were needed, and only recently is showing the cartridges for blue, magenta and cyan, but not the black, and those three are out of stock.

I ended up purchasing from another supplier the cartridges I needed.  Business lost for Quill.

I am sure the other types of equipment (Laminators, Label-makers), have similar problems.

I noticed a change that the toner has to be bought thru Quill to get Quill Cash. How do you keep track of this? I still have toner in our supply closet that I purchased a long time ago - am I going to get credit for them? Not sure why this changed it's not like they are giving millions of dollars back to us.

Would it be possible to expand the current rewards program when it comes to recycling used ink cartridges? It would be nice to see a greater number of points/cashback rewarded for returning a certain number of used cartridges for reuse!

The amount of ink and toner cartridges identified in the Ink and Toner Recycle Program under "Tips"  says "a maximum of 20 pounds (6 toner cartridges weigh approximately 20 pounds) or 20 items," whereas the Packing & Shipping instructions says "minimum of 20 items or 20 lbs ...".  This needs to be clarified so Quill will accept the correct amount from the customer.

We recently returned some cartridges to you and before I did so, I checked to see how many we were "allowed" under the new program so that is the amount I sent back.  I only received credit for 1, not 5 like I understood we would be allowed.  We save up cartridges so I can send back many at a time and we also purchase cartridges ahead of time to take advantage of sales.  To restrict our recycling quill cash to a 90 day period and I've been told by your customer service that it needs to be the same type cartridges that we purchased is too much trouble for us.  I have other vendors who are competitively priced that I will be using going forward for all of our toner needs that do allow credit back for recycling without your silly restrictions.  Please consider going back to your simpler recycling program and I'll consider buying our toner from you again.

Our company spends a great deal of money at Quill. We have always enjoyed the ink/toner program. It was easy to use, gave us a little fun money back, and helped the environment. Now, we are expected to use ink and toner within six months in order to get a small refund? That is not possible with long lasting toners. We also "buy ahead" to make sure we have back up cartridges, and sometimes stock up when coupons are available. Staples still offer $2.00 back per cartridge..up to 10 per month and they don't even have to be purchased there.
Now I find out the return boxes are not available anymore. Those were great! They provided an excellent visual to the employees as to remind them to recycle. Shipping prep was easy. Tape up the box and send it on its way.
For the life of me I can not understand why this has been turned on its head other than to save a few more bucks at your end.  I sincerely hope Quill reconsiders, otherwise we will most likely begin buying our ink and toner at Staples.

It’s that simple.  Each vote is worth 10 points.  A vote up will add ten points and a vote down will take away 10 points.  The idea’s score can be found beneath the voting icons. The higher the points the more popular the idea is.

Read and make comments on a specific idea by clicking on an idea title.  Comment on ideas as many times as you like. There is no limit.  Comments do not earn an idea points.

Our site moderators will leave comments as well.  These users are identified with a User-added image icon.
