You need a HOME button on your ribbon.  Why do I have to back arrow many times to get to the beginning?  Quill.com take me home.

Who selects the font size for your catalog item and model numbers?  Someone under the age of 21 with 20/20 vision?  Please enlarge the font size and even BOLD the numbers for them.  You describe the item in larger font and color but when it comes time to make note of the most important information it is very difficult to read.  I realize that by "adding to cart" the item is entered electronically but I need that information for my company purchase order I create before I place the online order.

I think it would be nice to have the option of where the free gift should be sent.   I am responsible for ordering all supplies for our 8 locations.    I keep all the free gifts received at my location for a raffle at Christmas time with proceeds going to a local charity.  If an order for one of our other locations qualifies for a free gift, I don't always get it because I don't want it to just end up in someone's hands for their own personal use.  If there is a food or candy item that can be sent to them then I send that but I would much rather choose the nicer free item and it be sent to our corporate office for our raffle at the end of the year. Having the choice of where the free items are sent would be nice and work well for us and any other location with multiple locations.

I would like to see the coupons for actual item discounts for multiple items for same price instead of cookware, food, beach bags, etc and non-office type "rewards".  I shop Quill for the price.  The coupons for this other stuff doesn't do me any good for a 2 person office.

We currently use one of your date stampers to stamp our boxes. Due to the volume of the number of boxes we stamp, the dates occasionally move and eventually the wrong date is stamped just by the repeated motion of stamping down a stack of boxes. I have yet to see a date stamper that can lock the date in place so that if you have to stamp dozens or hundreds of boxes a day (as we do at my employer) the date will not move. For example if you start off stamping Feb 5 2018 on a box by the time your 20 boxes into stamping Feb 6 2018 may be stamped on many boxes. I know I would be very interested to purchase date stampers like this. I would convert my whole stock of date stampers over to this new product. Just a thought.

While placing an order recently, I pulled up our office list of frequently ordered items. One of the items was Marcal bath tissue, which  been discontinued. The text below apologized for the discontinued item and said "May we suggest the following item:" The suggested item was Softsoap Antibacterial Hand Soap. Not a good substitution. :) You might want to have a human review those suggestions every so often...

Alvin makes a ruler with a roller that allows me to scroll down a list with ease. However, when I need to buy a new one I have to search the internet to find it.  It's a great product and I wish Quill sold it.

We order many of same items for multiple ship to locations, and  pay more because we miss out on the bulk pricing.    This is driving us to look elsewhere for lower pricing.  We meet the # criteria, but because the number is spread out between 2-4 ship-to locations, we pay more per item.   Glitch for any company with multiple locations, that do not have storage capacity to order in bulk.

    Hi,

We love ordering snacks, but there are limited to no trail mix options. Or just plain nuts and berries. We need bulk versions to fill our jars. Name branded nuts are just way too salty, and most of the grain bars or over packed with sugar...

    Thanks,

    Hi,

So I've been ordering with Quill faithfully since August 2017. Everytime I order copying paper the boxes come damaged (10 cases). My last order the boxes came in great condition, however the casing on each ream was not glued so the paper was not held together... 4 cases (10reams each) of this is unacceptable. Alot of the products come out of the same wharehouse as Staples. Why is there such difficulty with sending undamaged goods?

It would be nice to be able to add to or take away things from an order online. I placed an order earlier today, and right after I hit submit someone asked me to order something else. However, I cannot add to that order without calling customer service. It would be nice to be able to pull up your most recent order and add an extra item to it when something like this happens.

I received a templated letter from your company/President asking that we reconsider using Quill.

I represent a 140 person medical practice and are looking to replace our current one-stop shop provider of office supples, toners, and print matieral. Your company seemed like a strong candidate to give consideration, but the problem that deterred me was the lack of a regional representative. We are constantly making last minute orders, print changes, bulk orders of promo items and in our experience with current vendors, cannot afford to lose weeks or days on waiting on e-mail tag or phone tag to hash out back and forth between representatives.

When the PRESIDENT of Quill opts to distribute a somewhat whining letter to account holders who may not have utilized their Quill account recently (in my case, this is a 2nd account for an entity that only seldom needs supplies), it would probably be a good idea to proofread that letter before it's sent to hundreds(?) or thousands(?) of account holders.  Case in point - the first sentence of the letter reads as follows:
"I've gone back and forth on the best way to say this, so I'll err on being as direct and honest as I possible:  I take it personally."
    Seriously.  That's what it says.
There are a couple of other errors in the letter with commas omitted, and commas used where a semi colon was the appropriate choice, but whatever.  For 21 years, I've relied on Quill for 99% of the supplies I need.  My primary account is utilized fairly frequently for a small non-profit.  Always great products and great service.  But I'm offended by the tone of this letter regarding my 2nd account, and particularly offended and disappointed that apparently no one bothered to read it and check for errors.

I am in an A&P class with Tody LaToast and our school uses your markers. They do the job in the sense that they write, though they squeak extremly loud. Like you be in a room all the way across the school and you can hear the quils markers squeaking all the way across the school! Since our shcool has had budget cuts and are now purchasing your products. Expo markers are what we used to have, and those don't squeak. They got it figured out over there. Now yall gotta do the same. MAKE QUILLS GREAT AGAIN!

My comments are based on two different planners by Blue Sky.
For some unknown reason, this year's planner pages start with a column for notes on the left, prior to calendar entries. This means that Sunday is no longer the first column, and Wednesday falls on the facing page instead of first page. The longtime successful format of first column as Sunday is more familiar and much preferred. The notes column used to follow calendar entries, in the far-right column.
Also, the pastel print on days and dates is so faint it's barely ligible. This means rewriting all days and dates with dark pen for ready visibility.
The new calendar format and faint font colors are disappointing. Please reconsider returning to a more useful format with comment column at far right after calendar entries and dark font that's readily readable.

This year I ordered daytimer loose leaf calendars for all the accountants at my firm but they are griping because I didn't get the storage boxes for last years calendar like you get if you buy directly off of Day-Timer's site.  Any chance of you carrying those in the future so I don't have to go back to Daytimer next year.

I just saw the coupon clipboard for the first time.  I absolutely love it!!!  This is the best idea that Quill has had in a very long time.  However, i would like to see it tweaked a bit more by allowing us to not only put coupons on it, but also items that when we click on the hot deals link when we click at the bottom of the page.  I know that you can just click to add to cart, but sometimes, i like to mull over my options before I order.  Also, I would like to be able to save lists and then just order from those (I know that's not a coupon clipboard thing, but just thought i would throw it in there).  I don't know, maybe quill already has that feature?

How are ideas selected for execution?

Online votes and comments are used to help get ideas developed. Ideas that receive the most votes have a higher chance of being considered. Also, an idea may be selected because it appears to have a potential for success.

How do voting and comments work?

As a registered user, you can vote on every idea once.  A voting icon is shown next to the idea. Just click to vote on your favorites. It’s that simple.  Each vote is worth 10 points.  A vote up will add ten points and a vote down will take away 10 points.  The idea’s score can be found beneath the voting icons. The higher the points the more popular the idea is.

Read and make comments on a specific idea by clicking on an idea title.  Comment on ideas as many times as you like. There is no limit.  Comments do not earn an idea points.

Our site moderators will leave comments as well.  These users are identified with a User-added image icon.

Does every idea get a response?

Due to the amount of posts, we won’t be able to respond to every posting. If your idea is moved to the formal review step, you can expect to receive e-mail updates from us.  We will keep you informed if your idea is recommended for implementation and notify you of any status changes.

Do I get recognized if my idea is selected?

If your idea is implemented, we may give you credit on the site, but there is no monetary compensation. Take a look at our Terms and Conditions to learn more.

Is there a moderator on Quill Ideas?

Your ideas and comments are not reviewed before they are posted.  Any postings that violate the Terms of Use will be removed. When appropriate, we will respond to comments in a timely manner.
