It would be great if you sold bagel cutters, either the ones made out of wood or the Guillotine
    Thanks!

Since Quill serves businesses in such a wide range of size, it needs to be stated more clearly for customers that they must meet each order minimum to apply the coupons and Quill Cash. This isn't a concern for a customer who is spending a couple hundred dollars every time they order, but if Quill is going to send flyers and such to smaller customers and advertise that our coupons are stackable all over the website that is used by businesses of all sizes, then they need to understand needs of smaller businesses as well. Smaller customers become frustrated when they see that because they applied the Quill Cash to their order that they cannot get the free gift they initially were trying to reach the minimum for. Reps inform customers of this over the phone all the time, but it needs to be more known so that customers are not surprised when placing an order on their own as that frustration when they find out after spending time building their cart is going to drive them to another company.

I ran into a problem where the coupon had the wrong code I guess and there was no way to fix it...they need to double check the codes on the coupons
Another thing that if they say spend $75 and get cookies and in the same transaction you have a coupon that if you spend $150 to get bowls...you should be able to use both and not 1 or the other because you may have spent the $150 but you can either get the $150 gift or the $75 gift because in their eyes you really haven't spent enough to get both but in my eye you did spend $75 and $150 but they subtract the dollar amount and you will only be able to use 1.

It would be nice to have individuals complete a profile questionaire on products they're most interested in and send them emails when those specific items go on sale.

When redeeming coupons, gifts should not be on the same invoice. It must be invoiced separately to the original invoice.

It's great that a discount is applied for the higher quantity you purchase. But instead of just leveling it out to 10+, could there be another incentive of getting a product free? Such as, buy 20 of this item and get another free?

Share cart was a good idea but the coupon code sometimes is very confusing and not enough info which one you can combine with, I hope there would be more info in the the clip coupon which would show it can be combined with.

When quill gets a new product depending on what it is it would be nice if they offer it at discounted price for a lower quantity.

    Hi,
When a label for internal use is slapped on a box containing  toner it often covers the most important detail on the box...the product name! I am not talking about the shipping box but the actual HP packaging. We have a mail room where we store different types of toner used by the whole office and it makes it difficult for us to find the correct one when the name is not visible. It also makes it more difficult for me to see at-a-glance what toner I need to order more of. It would be very helpful if packers were asked not to cover up important details with labels.

I suggest that credit memos should be paperless just as invoices are because its a huge inconvenience for paperless companies and a true waste of un-necessary wasted paper.

I love that Quill says it's easy to do returns, but it is easier said than done. There are a lot of restrictions, including a 30 day time limit. We order our ink in advance, but our copier went and we replaced it.  We wanted to return the unusable (unopened, Quill brand). We called 3 times, waited on hold for too long and then couldn't process the return. Now we are stuck with $800 in ink we can't use and quill will not help us return it. Perhaps there is an easier way to do returns than jumping through a thousand hoops.

It would be cool if on a monthly basis you have a random raffle (monthly appreciation raffle) with all the organzations that placed orders that month and the selected winner can get a Quill bundle of customer favorites as the prize. That way you get to try new things you may have not ordered before too.

How about letting Quill points accmulate only to exchange for free gifts with no expiration but keep the expiration schedule for new purchases?

I think it would be great if Quill MANDATED their shipping/packaging department to package items to the appropriate size box.  I can't for the life of me figure out why someone in upper management hasn't figured out that this wastes TONS of money and resources.

Why not tell your employees that it is POLICY to package small items in small boxes rather than throwing something small into a large box with bubble wrap. What a waste. Cut the packaging and shipping costs and you may be able to pass the savings onto customers by decreasing your prices on cleaning supplies and snacks.

Packaging items into the correct size box will not only save QUILL $$$ but it will help prevent items from getting damaged when they are bouncing around loose in said box during their trip from Quill to our office.

We are a small company and only order maybe every couple of months.  It would be nice to be able to save up our dollar amounts so when we have enough saved up to then get some nice free gifts.  Also, I have placed an order and later that day or two later I get an e-mail or something in the mail for a free gift for placing an order.  It would be nice if say even after a week of placing an order if you recieve one of those deals you could redeeam it for the free gift. Example: I placed an order got your sale book in the mail the next day and there was something I could have gotten but it's to late I had already ordered.  So, now I'm out of luck because next time we place an order that coupon will not be any good.

Whenever an item is selected from Quill, maybe on the side Quill will automatically search and match and accept competitor's price.  When we see savings, we tend to buy more items.

It would be great to see a level added between $325 and $500 for a coupon.

There are many times when ordering around $460 of product and you don't hit that $500 mark.  Yes you can combine a $325 & $99 using 425 of your 460  but that's your only option - the 325 & 175 total $500 and 500 has it's own level. It would just be nice to have a $425 level.

Due to our type of business we can't use funds for a Holiday party so we all bring food, etc.  so the employees love the free gifts...we save them and use them at our Holiday party for a raffle.  Its a way we can give back to our employees...so thank you!

How are ideas selected for execution?

Online votes and comments are used to help get ideas developed. Ideas that receive the most votes have a higher chance of being considered. Also, an idea may be selected because it appears to have a potential for success.

How do voting and comments work?

As a registered user, you can vote on every idea once.  A voting icon is shown next to the idea. Just click to vote on your favorites. It’s that simple.  Each vote is worth 10 points.  A vote up will add ten points and a vote down will take away 10 points.  The idea’s score can be found beneath the voting icons. The higher the points the more popular the idea is.

Read and make comments on a specific idea by clicking on an idea title.  Comment on ideas as many times as you like. There is no limit.  Comments do not earn an idea points.

Our site moderators will leave comments as well.  These users are identified with a User-added image icon.

Does every idea get a response?

Due to the amount of posts, we won’t be able to respond to every posting. If your idea is moved to the formal review step, you can expect to receive e-mail updates from us.  We will keep you informed if your idea is recommended for implementation and notify you of any status changes.

Do I get recognized if my idea is selected?

If your idea is implemented, we may give you credit on the site, but there is no monetary compensation. Take a look at our Terms and Conditions to learn more.
