Recycling ink / toner - Allow more than 10 per month

  • Allow more than 10 ink / toner per month at the $2 per cartridge.

I recycle our ink but I hold and send in 10 at a time to maximize the quill cash.  I would like to be able to send in as I fill a box instead of having to hold.

    Thank You.

If you are not going to allow more than 10 cartridges a month still, please decrease the size of your large box.  Most cartriges now are smaller and the boxes are too big now & will hold 15 to 20 cartridges.  Additionally, the small toner boxes need to be made just a little larger.  With most ink jet printers now taking 5 cartridges and one of them being the photo cartridge, these boxes are just too small.

I like the preferred list with the price adjustments for the items I order often and I love the free gift perks.  I have swapped to do most of my ordering through Quill now because of the special price adjustments that they offer and now other companies are trying to do the same thing to have my business.  I see lots of comments regarding extending the time on Quill Cash but I think the time is okay but I do agree that the limit being spent reduced some.  Quill has been more than generous with reductions, sales, and gifts.  To ask for much more then what they do to me seems like asking them to go under.  I think a lower shipping rate for small orders would be good though.  So to sum up, lower shipping rates for smaller orders and lower dollar amounts spent before being able to apply Quill Cash would be good.  Also I think a good idea would be that when something you are searching for on the Quill site is not able to be found, if there was some sort of way for them to let us know whether or not it is available through their special order catalogue would be awesome.  Becuase then I can just email my rep for assistance on the item instead of supposing they don't have it.

We have over 100 cartridges just waiting to be recycled.  I would appreciate being able to send them in at once in order to get them out of our office.   I think the 10 cartridge limit needs to be reconsidered.  I also feel that the quill cash that is earned from the ink recycling should not expire.
Posted on 11/13/2015

I agree that the limit should be raised as well as the amount of credit per cartridge.  Various other office supply retailers offer $4 cash credit for recycled cartridges on a daily basis with no limits.  Granted that the cash earned must be applied to future purchases at their store, but that is no different than how the Quill Cash program works.  They also do not have any expiration date for when their credits are to be used.
Posted on 6/26/2015

The Quill Cash should NOT expire.  Why go through the effort when you lose your Quill Cash?  Just saying... Why should it expire?
Posted on 3/20/2015

I agree - allow more than 10 per month - why does the box have 12 then?
Posted on 9/26/2014

I agree with a limit but maybe set the limit at 20 instead of 10? We have a overflowing stockpile and it would be nice to be able to send more than 10 at a time and earn a reward!
Posted on 9/26/2014

I don't think there should be a limit on recycling. Our company uses several cartridges in a month and I hold cartridges until the next month because there is a limit. If recycling is what you want your customers to do and I am sure it saves Quill money by us doing so, why is there limits on what can be recycled? I don't like the fact that I have to store the cartridges from month to month. When I am returning large cartridges the box size takes up to much space and doesn't look very appeaing sitting in our office.
Posted on 8/26/2014

Agree, we use more than 10 per month and end up throwing them away as we have no place to store them and I don't get anything for sending them back.
Posted on 8/26/2014

I think that if a customer buys alot of toner/ink per month, they shouldn't be limited to 10 per month.
Posted on 8/13/2014

Pleeease allow more than 10 cartridges a month!   When customers earn Quill cash they should be able to use it when they want.  Having an expiration date on the Quill cash is too controlling, after all its not your credit.
Posted on 7/31/2014

I agree. Especially for schools.  Being able to recycle more per month would stop the backlog accumulated waiting to send in one box a month.  Also have the credit last longer.
Posted on 7/30/2014

I like the recyle program, but it takes me several months to get the box full.  If I could send back toner and ink at the same time, I wouldn't have so much lying around my office all the time.
Posted on 7/27/2014

Please extend the expiration date on how long the recycled ink cartridge credit is good for.
Posted on 7/26/2014

I would love to be able to get a larger box for the cartridges. We use a plotter and only 3 cartridges fit in the boxes that Quill sends us, then I'm never sure if I'm going to get any quill cash for sending them in at all because of that. Each cartridge is $100 new, and the printer takes 6, so every penny counts.
Posted on 7/26/2014

WOW!  I have thought the same thing for a long time!  I would have a bunch of toner cartridges, but end up having to hold them until the next month. It is a great idea to be able to turn in as many as you want, or at least as much as the box can hold, plus this would be saving on gas instead of having more pick-ups than needed due to more shipments! :-)

We have sent toners back 2 different times and never seen any credit to our account. So we stopped sending them.I ordered the box and lable from you on our account and it came the next day we packed it up and sent it back and thats the last we saw of it. We may try it again because we hate throwing so many away.

every quarter for a week  offer $4 quill cash
during calendar holidays offer more quill cash -such as President's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th
etc...

There should be no limit if you want to be open to more clientele.
Posted on 7/25/2014

Definitely!!! There should be no limit on how may cartridges you can recycle at once. It is a win win siruation for all involved...and for the planet!

Thank you so much for all of your comments.  We are definitely looking at ways we can continue to update the program and all of your comments and suggestions are great.  We are also looking at how we might be able to add more recycle promotions.  Please check back soon for updates.

It's not through Quill, but if you want to send in your ink, you can go through HP, they also have a program, but you can only send in HP cartridges and as many as you want.  You accumulate points and can use them to purchase printers, faxes, etc., I have enough points to get FREE printers every year.
I use Quill for all other cartridges that are not HP and take advantage of both.  Just something to think about.

I agree. Our office uses a lot more than 10. I just sent back 10 today and have another box of 10 waiting a month to send them back. It would be nice to be able to return as many as you want for credit.
